Western Union result

Western Union reported Q3 net income of $239.7m (€169.3m £148.9m ¥18,162m Y1,524m) and 9 months of $667.3% (€471.3m £414.4m ¥50,561m Y4,244m) representing increases of 1% and 7% respectively on the year ago periods.

Revenues and expenses have been rising similar amounts throughout this year. The larger 9 month gain in profit is mainly due to asset revaluation. Western Union have announced a number of international deals throughout the world in recent months. This will hopefully allow increased transaction volume without the same increase to expense.
